Pagi tadi jam 9.00 pagi telah bermula majlis perasmian pembukaan Pasaraya Pantai Timur Pasir Mas. Majlis ini disempurnakan perasmianya oleh YDP Majlis Daerah Pasir Mas merangkap Ketua Jajahan Pasir Mas En. Fauzi Mat.

You might be shocked by this, but despite my living in Pasir Mas too, I didn’t know that it has already been opened!
Now that I have Internet access from home, I don’t go to town quite often anymore (when I was addicted, it was every day … to Kg. Dangar). I’d go to the FirstNet cybercafe alongside the police station every other day. But now, it might be once in 10 days that I’d go out!
The last time I was there was on Saturday (Sept 6). But I didn’t go in that direction, so I didn’t know about Pantai Timur.
BTW is that your picture above? Retiree?? You look a lot younger than I do!

Cendana,
I am 58 years old. My other mates in Kg. Dangar are Cikgu Azmi Omar and En. Mat Nawi antique dealer. Those are my classmates.
I am changing the language for My Pasir Mas to Malay for the benefit of those who don’t understand English. Afterall My Pasir mas is for them to find out on what is going on at home.
Been pretty busy lately so i cant update the site as much as I wanted too. Further more I am always in a dilema of whether to put a new blog here or in LAISI. Since LAISI has a wider spread of readers, longer articles will go there. Here it will be more of news about home.
A picture can tell a thousand words but it can lie about your age too hehehe.

Cikgu Azmi was formerly of Sekolah Men Lemal, wasn’t he? He used to have a Honda Accord (red).
Well, do what you must, Che Zawi; although I must say that it’ll be quite sad indeed when you have to change from English.
But then, I suppose you’re being practical and realistic, since you’re doing this for the people of Pasir Mas (who by and large don’t understand English too well).
It’s easier in my case – the target audience is that of other countries too. But I’m encouraging those who aren’t comfortable with English to use Malay just so they’ll have a place to voice their opinions and share information and experiences.
I have to keep reminding them about this, for they might think I/other readers would belittle them should they write in Malay!

Cendana,
Yes, that’s the Cikgu Azmi that I meant. The Honda Accord is no more red now, its greyish blue.
As to the change of language, its done for the benefit of all and since my target audience is the people who wants to know of happenings in Pasir Mas while being away from Pasir Mas. You can still read my English blog in Life As I See It… (LAISI) http://mohdzawi.blogspot.com
